Samba
Count: one, a-2. Movement: pendulum - head fixed, feet go
forward when you move forward, back when you move back.
- Basic Box: LF forward (one), RF diagonally to the right (a), step
on ball of foot and quickly lift it (as if the floor was burning, or as if you
broke your foot and it hurts to put weight on it.), move LF next to RF
(2). Repeat back wards to finish box.
- Basic Balance: forwards and back, without moving sideways.
- Fifth Position: basic, 1/2 box, step back with RF, then 5th
position with LF. Other side. To get out, do odd number of times:
after 5th to with RF, bring RF left, turning 90 degrees, swinging lady in
front of you.
- Fifth Position Turn: do LF 5th, bring left arm up, turn lady, man
finishes box when getting together (RF back).
